Charred Tomato and Mint Sauce

Guatemalan Chirmol, Charred tomato and mint sauce

About 2 1/2 cups
5 roma tomatoes, charred, chopped
2 tbsp. fresh chopped mint leaves
1/2-3/4 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. freshly squeezed lime juice
1 Serrano, minced (optional)
Kosher salt to taste

Char on stove top or grill tomatoes until skins blister and tomatoes are soft. Chop them, but do not peel them. Combine all chopped sauce ingredients and season with salt.

Serve with Carne Asada (grilled steak).
