Guatemalan Cooking – The Easy Way January 24, 6:30 p.m.

Everyone enjoys good food and welcomes simple ways of preparing meals to entertain friends and family. During this participatory class, Chef and cookbook author, Amalia Moreno-Damgaard will introduce you to the typical ingredients of Central American Guatemalan cuisine – corn, tomatoes, peppers, beans, plantains, tomatillos. On the menu: Jocon -chicken tomatillo and cilantro stew; Arroz con Verduras -vegetable rice; Frijoles parados con chile pimiento -black bean stew with red bell peppers; Platanitos -pan fried sweet plantains.
