The Kalpulli Ketzal Coatlicue Aztec Dance Troupe dress in full ornate traditional Aztec costumes and recreate the native Mayan dances of the past. They focus on the symbols of life represented in Mayan tradition and mix in contemporary dance moves. Drums, conch shells and other items from nature are used to connect the themes in their music.
The evening will end with a traditional sing-along at 7:30 p.m. This event is student-centered. All Minnetonka residents and surrounding communities are encouraged to attend.
